Who we are

Slidemate is run by Tom Nsengiyumva, sole trader (eenmanszaak) registered in Belgium, Minderbroedersstraat 10, 8000 Brugge, Belgium. Enterprise number 1022.549.155, VAT BE1022549155. Email hello@slidemate.app.

Your account

Slidemate is a tool for businesses and creators. You need to be at least 18, and able to enter a contract where you live, to use it. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at hello@slidemate.app if you think someone else got into it.

Your content

What you make and upload stays yours. You give Slidemate permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the app for you, for example to save your slideshows and show your library back to you.

Only upload or import images you have the right to use. Photos from Pexels come with the Pexels license. Pins on Pinterest belong to the people who made them, so respect their rights and credit them where appropriate. You are responsible for what you post on TikTok or anywhere else.

When you post to TikTok from Slidemate, you also agree to TikTok's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Music Usage Confirmation and, for paid partnerships, its Branded Content Policy. Posts go out only when you choose to post, schedule or send them to drafts.

Pinterest and other services

Slidemate connects to services run by others, such as Pinterest, Pexels, AI assistants and TikTok. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for how they work. Pinterest is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc., and Slidemate is not made or endorsed by Pinterest.

AI assistants

When you connect an assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Cursor, its provider's own terms apply to your use of it. AI can get things wrong, so review every slideshow before you post it. You are responsible for what you ask for and how you use the results.

What is not allowed

• Anything illegal, or content that infringes someone else's rights
• Hateful, harassing or violent content, and any sexual content involving minors
• Spam, misleading content or impersonating others
• Trying to break, overload or get around the security of Slidemate, including its bot checks
• Automated access to Slidemate other than through its official MCP connector

Plans, free trials and renewals

Slidemate has paid plans, billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Prices are shown before you subscribe: in euros, VAT included, in euro countries, and in US dollars elsewhere, plus any tax that applies where you live.

• Free trials. We may offer a free trial on a first plan; its length is shown before you subscribe, and we can change or end trial offers at any time. One trial per person or business. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it turns into a paid plan and your card is charged the price you picked.
• Automatic renewal. Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price you agreed to, until you cancel. We may change our prices and plans. A new price applies to you from your next renewal after we tell you by email, and you can cancel before it does.
• Cancelling. Cancel anytime, online, in Settings, Manage billing, Cancel plan. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew after that. Cancelling does not refund the current period.
• Refunds. Payments are final and not refunded, including for unused time or unused posts, except where the law says otherwise. Consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom have the right to withdraw described below.
• Changing plans. You can move between Starter and Pro in the app. What you pay for the change is shown before you confirm.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails, we retry it, and we may pause your account until it is paid.

Withdrawing as a consumer

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom and are not acting for a business, you can withdraw from your first paid subscription within 14 days of your first payment, without giving a reason. Tell us clearly, by email to hello@slidemate.app or with the form below. Because you asked us to start right away, we refund your first payment minus the share of the period you already used, within 14 days of your message, using the same payment method.

Model withdrawal form. Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach Slidemate. Euro prices include VAT. Any other tax that applies is shown at checkout before you pay.

The service

We work hard to keep Slidemate running well, but we provide it as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We may improve, change or stop features. Keep your own copies of anything important by downloading your slides.

Reporting illegal content

Our single point of contact for users and for authorities, under the EU Digital Services Act, is hello@slidemate.app, in English, Dutch or French. To report content stored on Slidemate that you believe is illegal, email us with where it is, why you think it is illegal, your name and email, and a statement that your report is accurate and made in good faith. We review every report, act quickly, and tell both you and the person who uploaded it what we decided and why. They can ask us to review our decision by replying to that email.

Copyright complaints

We respect the rights of creators. If you believe something stored on Slidemate infringes your copyright, email hello@slidemate.app with: your name and contact details, the work you own, where the material is on Slidemate, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or allowed to act for them, under penalty of perjury, and your physical or electronic signature. We remove material that infringes, tell the person who uploaded it, and close the accounts of people who infringe again and again.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Slidemate is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, lost profits or damage to your reputation arising from your use of the app. In any case, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

Ending things

You can stop using Slidemate and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other people or the service at risk.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can go to the courts there. Otherwise, the courts of Bruges have jurisdiction. Before going to court, email us: most problems are solved in a day. Consumers can also turn to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (Consumentenombudsdienst, consumentenombudsdienst.be).

Changes

We may update these terms as Slidemate grows. We update the date at the top of this page, and for important changes we tell you in the app or by email before they apply. Continuing to use Slidemate after a change means you accept the new terms.
